Crown Street Press was established in 1988 by James Whitington after founding Whaling Road Studios with Diana Davidson in 1978. 

At Crown Street Press, James and other artists worked to develop plates for original editions of prints and monotypes. 

Works produced at Crown Street Press are represented in The Australian National Gallery plus State and Regional Galleries.
